An IP address conflict may disappear after reconnecting a device but return when another device joins the network. The cause could be an overlapping static address, a stale reservation, or more than one DHCP server.
Review the troubleshooting steps in our IP address conflict guide, then share:
- What device displayed the conflict, and did the problem affect one device or several?
- Which step identified or resolved the duplicate address?
- If the conflict returned, what lasting router or DHCP configuration change fixed it?
Helpful technical details include the device type and operating system, router or mesh model, whether addresses are assigned automatically or manually, and whether the network contains a second router or DHCP server.
